Leaving early

There’s something about certain days (like the day before Thanksgiving) where your job is kind enough to let you out early. For me, it takes me back to the days of elementary school when there were half days or days with early dismissal. It’s an excitement not just to be able to leave your responsibility early, but also to have more time to do things that you want to do. Some would say that the best solution is to have these types of days more often, but I say that it would be much better to be in control of your own time instead of relying on a company to pay you. That part is still a work in progress for me, but up until that point, I’ll still take extra joy in days like today when I can escape early.
