2011 Christmas letter

My family has a tradition of writing a Christmas letter to friends and extended family as a way of “updating” them on our lives throughout the year. This year, I’ve decided to take my portion and move it online, as a reflection of where my interests and abilities are. So, if you’re a family friend or family member who’s here because of the Christmas letter, then welcome! Feel free to take a look around my site to see what I have here. If you’ve stumbled upon this by accident, then no worries. You’re still welcome to read through this.

This past year, I have continued developing websites as part of my own business, ESP Design Consulting. This has included extensive work on the Town Does sites, which currently includes Downingtown Does, Exton Does, Coatesville Does, and West Chester Does. I have also worked on sites for some local businesses and churches.

I’ve continued working full time for Bentley Systems, although that is actually a chapter that will be coming to a close on January 20th of 2012. I’ll be taking a position with WP Engine, a company that hosts websites powered by WordPress, the same technology that is running this site, as well as all of the others that I have worked on. WP Engine is based out of Austin, TX, and I will be working remotely from home. This is definitely something that I am very excited about.

I’m no longer living in Downingtown, PA, as my roommate got engaged and married in the past year, and I opted to let him and his wife keep the apartment. I am currently living with my grandfather in Glen Mills while I’m seeking to buy a house of my own in Downingtown. There aren’t that many on the market at this time, but I’m confident that I’ll be able to find a suitable one soon.
